As experienced EFL authors and teachers, they are well aware of how international communication is currently an uneven playing field. While non-native English speakers strive to attain excellent English skills, many native English speakers do little to adapt their language. Kathryn and Zanne have first-hand teaching in international companies and are very aware of the problems that can arise in multilingual groups. Writing and self-publishing Is That Clear? is a very exciting and positive step for Zanne and Kathryn after several years working for traditional publishers. Following articles in the Financial Times and an appearance in The Week, they are thrilled at how publishing their own book and running workshops has opened up a discussion on something that has been overlooked for too long.
