Hi, I’m Sarah Carroll, author of Grow Fast, Grow Global.
My aim is to give everyone a digital livelihood wherever they are in the world.
I’m Founder of Grow Global, a strategy and training company and an international e-commerce consultant for the International Trade Centre, a UN/WTO agency and have become one of world’s leading experts on how to grow a business globally in this digital age.
About 10 years ago, I set up Grow Global to help businesses to take full advantage of the global opportunity there is to grow by using digital strategies. I focus on increasing international leads and sales through digital strategies for ambitious companies and nations.
I am a real advocate of going global, and the more people I can tell about it the better (I can literally speak for hours on the topic as I’m very chatty by nature!). I’ve spoken to over 5,000 delegates at webinars, seminars and workshops and proud to have been a guest speaker at Google London, the UN E-commerce Week in Geneva and the African Union in Nairobi, talking on digital export.
The book came about as while working with the UK government’s trade promotion agency (UK Trade and Investment and now the Department for International Trade), I’ve seen how almost 5,000 companies have approached selling around the world online. Some successful clients have increased their online sales tenfold and gone on to be award winning. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t, and where the stumbling blocks and barriers kick in – and that’s why I decided to write ‘Grow Fast, Grow Global’ – to share everything I have learnt.
While many companies are getting left behind with both digital and international growth, global growth is not as complicated or overwhelming as a lot of people think if you use digital tools to do it. It has never been easier to gain a global reach and sell to customers on the other side of the world. In fact, over half the companies in the world would benefit from it!
My book has been read by business owners all around the world, from Auckland to Baku, from fashion houses in Paris to students in Nairobi. I was particularly proud to see ‘Grow Fast, Grow Global’ used to train up new e-commerce coaches in Kigali as part of the ‘Creating the Digital Future of Rwanda’ programme.
My vision is to help more and more businesses around sell online around the world. This will increase the economic well-being of each of those companies and teams, which will, in turn, lead to an increased quality of life for millions of people. Everyone can have a digital livelihood.
