Mark is a strategic speaker, mentor and author for accountants in practice. He is also Chair of the Tax Advice Network but stopped giving tax advice himself about 15 years ago. 

Previously, as a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser, Mark spent 25 years in practice, was a partner at two top firms of accountants and Chair of the ICAEW Tax Faculty. 

Mark is now a proud Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association and a long-time member of The Magic Circle.

Mark’s blog (bookmarklee.co.uk/blog) supports his speaking and NED style mentoring for accountants. He has written over 800 posts to help accountants achieve greater success and to be better remembered, referred and recommended. For some time he was consultant practice editor for AccountingWeb where he wrote over 200 articles that achieved well over one million views.

Mark is very active on Linkedin where he is widely connected especially across the accountancy sector. For over ten years he has been routinely ranked as one of the most positive online influencers within the profession. 

Before training to become an accountant Mark was a children’s party entertainer – something he stopped doing when it meant going to other kids parties instead of being with his own children. To this day though there is often a touch of magic in his talks which probably means he is the only ‘magical’ speaker focused on the UK accountancy profession.
