As the Content Manager for tax at Kaplan Publishing Julia has overall responsibility for all tax textbooks, learning content and assessments used by Kaplan Financial, the largest provider of apprenticeships in the UK, and many other education providers across the world. Julia has represented Kaplan Publishing at the Business Book Awards for the last two years and as an avid reader and book club member she is looking forward to being involved in the judging process.
Julia is an experienced tax author and tutor and received the 2016 PQ magazine Lecturer of the Year award, having been nominated by one of her students.
Julia is a recognised expert in the field of professional education and this year, in addition to her judging role for the Business Book Awards, she is also a judge for the Professional Certification Programme of the Year category at the e-Assessment Association’s International e-Assessment Awards 2025.
Alongside her tax work Julia’s current authoring projects include an introduction to charities for accountants and she is trustee of The Culture Trust, a local heritage and arts charity. She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner having completed her accountancy training within forensic accounting.
