Tony Robinson OBE

Known in the UK as the Micro Business Champion and is the co-founder, with Tina Boden, of the annual #MicroBizMattersDay.

Tony Robinson OBE is the Micro Business Champion, a national & international promoter of best practice in enterprise skills and support for over 20 years. He is a multiple founder and business owner since 1986. His ‘Micro Magic’ Conference Talk suggests a better way than the ‘American Way’ to start and grow an enterprise. The talk is based on his popular, fictional satire – ‘Freedom from Bosses Forever’.

Tony is the co-founder, with Tina Boden, of the annual and global #MicroBizMatters Day Millions participate online and offline on this day of recognition, action (giving 12 minutes to help another business owner) and learning, including 8 hours live streaming.

Tony holds many voluntary leadership positions for national and regional social enterprises which promote and support entrepreneurs. In 1996 he founded and remains co-owner of the SFEDI Group – the Sector Skills Body (includes the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs) for Enterprise.

Tony was honoured in 2001 with an OBE for services to small firms and training and is the recipient of two lifetime achievement awards for enterprise. He has written 5 business books, 2 satires on business and his novel Loose Cannon, a psychological thriller, is published in November 2017.
