Sue Richardson

Gourmand World Cookbook Award winner of the Best Series with James McIntosh

Sue has been in publishing for 25 years, starting out as a proofreader and editor and moving into forming a publishing company in the late 1990s. She has had an addiction to books since she was tiny, ever since her mum taught her to read at the age of three. Her enduring love of story led her to take a degree in English, which was followed by short spells in the theatre and academia before she finally took the plunge into the world of books.

For many years Sue specialized in working with artists, craftspeople, photographers and cooks on full colour illustrated books, winning the Gourmand World Cookbook Award for Best Series with James McIntosh in 2008.

These days, Sue’s greatest joy and satisfaction comes from working with business authors. Having witnessed many times the power of the book to build credibility and reputation for entrepreneurial individuals, Sue is now specializing in helping business owners to write, publish and market the right book for their business, whether as part of the Authority Guides series of practical, pocket-sized business books, which she founded in 2016, or via The Right Book Company providing professional and bespoke publishing services for authors.
